On March 18, 2021, the performance evaluation meeting of National Key Research and Development Program Key projects for strategic international cooperation in science, technology and innovation “Construction Technology of ‘One Belt And One Road’ Urban Intelligent Transportation System under Complex Environment” (project number 2016YFE0206800) project three “Intelligent Transportation Coordination Control Technology under Complicated Environment ” in A102 of College of Transportation Engineering of Tongji University goes well.
The meeting started at 9:00 a.m. Zhang Jisheng, a researcher from the Institute of Highway Science of the Ministry of Transport, who is in charge of the project unit, made a speech and announced the start of the performance evaluation meeting.
Ling Wang, an assistant professor from College of Transportation Engineering of Tongji University did a detailed report for project three" intelligent transportation under complicated environment coordination control technology ". She reported in five aspects, which are the project background and target, research task completion, the main research contents and innovation points, main application and demonstration of scientific and technological achievements and organizational management and usage of funds.
After that, Zixuan Chen, a master student from College of Transportation Engineering of Tongji University, demonstrated the project results and briefly introduced the operation mechanism of the relevant equipment and system.
The meeting experts made some reviews and inquiries of the project, including Jingcheng Wang ( a professor from Shanghai Jiaotong University), Yuqing Liang ( deputy director of the institute of Beijing traffic engineering science), Hongke Xu (a professor from Chang’an University), Yi Zhang ( deputy director of Shanghai Urban and Rural Construction and Transportation Development Research Institute), Yu Lin( deputy general manager of Shanghai Songhong Intelligent Automobile Technology Co., Ltd). The experts affirmed the results of this work and put forward relevant suggestions and opinions on this basis.
The main innovation achievements of this project includes the dynamic compound network bottleneck identification and analysis technology, implementation of bottleneck type dynamic prediction, identification and cause analysis of the captured data driven expressway and ground traffic coordination control technology. This project studied the composite network under the condition of abnormal multichannel intelligent dynamic optimization control technology and multi-objective vehicle road coordination control technology. Various studies of this topic have shown significant improvement effects in travel reliability, average speed, travel time of special vehicles and other aspects, and effectively reduced the delay and accident rate. The research results have been demonstrated and applied in Urumqi, Shanghai, Shenzhen, Zhengzhou and other cities. The demonstration effect is good and the promotion prospect is broad, which lays a foundation for the large-scale implementation of intelligent transportation coordination control technology in "One Belt And One Road" cities.
