At 13:30 on June 18, 2022, Magic Lab Master Degree Dissertation Defense in 2022 was successfully held through the online platform.

Chen Benwei, Chen Zixuan, and Yu Jingting, 2019 master's degree students, successfully passed the defense with their dissertations "Congestion Control of Bottleneck Points of New Mixed Continuous Traffic Flow", "Research on Coordinated Control Method of Trunk Line Oriented to Overflow Prevention", and "Characteristic Point Planning Method of Automatic Driving Trajectory for New Mixed Flow Entrance Ramp".

Benwei Chen's main research content is to establish a congestion control model for the main line bottleneck point with the new mixed traffic flow as the research object, give full play to the role of networked vehicles, and improve the efficiency of bottleneck operation, mainly including the state estimation of conventional vehicles in the new continuous mixed flow, the trajectory control model of the main line bottleneck point bicycle and the congestion control model of the distributed vehicle group.

Zixuan Chen's main research content is to describe the trajectory characteristics of the convergence process of connected autonomous vehicles; Based on the microscopic action and attitude change process of vehicle lane change, the minimum safety distance during lane change is solved by modeling. The characteristic point planning model of the vehicle trajectory of the entrance ramp is constructed and tested and verified based on the VISSIM simulation platform. The results show that the model can reduce vehicle delays and increase the average speed under different flow rates. The research results can provide technical support for the landing of new control technologies for entrance ramps.

Jingting Yu's main research content is to construct a schematic model of intersection vehicle arrival and departure, and establish a road section queue length and intersection vehicle delay estimation method; Aiming at minimizing the total vehicle delay of primary and secondary traffic flows, the coordination optimization model of trunk signal is established, and genetic algorithm is used to solve it; Simulation verifies the effectiveness and advanced nature of the model compared with the classical method. The results have practical application value for the coordinated control and optimization of trunk line traffic overflow.

Professor Bin Yu of Beihang University was invited to serve as the chairman of the defense, Professor Wanjing Ma, Professor Kun An, Professor Yuming Ge, Assistant Professor Wang Ling were invited to serve as the defense committee members, and Researcher Yu Chunhui also attended the defense.
