On September 22, 2023 afternoon, the project launch meeting of "Sustainable Innovative digitalized Network of Urban Logistics " was successfully held in A102 Tongda Hall.
The paticipants of the meeting include Prof. Kun An from the College of Transportation Engineering of Tongji University, Associate Prof. Hai Jiang from the Department of Industrial Engineering of Tsinghua University, Associate Prof. Goncalo Correia from the College of Civil Engineering and Geosciences of Delft University of Technology, Associate Prof. Hai Wang from School of Computing and Information System of Singapore Management University, Assisitant Prof. Miaojia Lu from the College of Transportation Engineering of Tongji University, and Director Wang Lun from the Government Affairs Group of Meituan Automatic Vehicle. The meeting was chaired by Prof. Kun An.
Before the meeting began, Prof. Kun An gave a welcome speech.
Professor Kun An’s presentation was entitled "Map design mini-hubs/parking locations ". The research is in partnership with Meituan in China, Milkrun in Singapore, Just Eat Takeaway in the Netherlands and Hyke in Norway.
Asst Prof. Miaojia Lu gave a talk entitled "Rider and consumer behaviour modeling: A data-driven work ". Asst Prof. Miaojia Lu first introduced the main contents and objectives of rider and consumer modeling, and detailed the order data set used in the project, the variables involved in rider behavior survey, etc., and finally introduced the related previous work of the project.
Asso Prof. Hai Jiang presented a report entitled "Integrated Online Product Assortment and Display Optimization". Asso Prof. Hai Jiang focused on the team's related work and cooperation with Meituan.
Asso Prof. Hai Wang presented a report entitled "Matehing & Routing in Crowd-Sourcing Delivery". Asso Prof. Hai Wang has been committed to the research of intelligent system and decision optimization for a long time, and has been closely integrated with the industry. In the context of the huge traffic demand brought by the huge amount of order, through the allocation of riders, the tradeoff between multiple goals will be achieved.
Director Wang Lun briefly introduced the development of Meituan's automatic vehicle delivery, and discussed application cases and practical problems.
After a short coffee break, the Sino-European project team held a roundtable discussion.
Finally, Prof. Kun An gave close remarks.
