本团队关于智能驾驶辅助领域的研究具体包括安全状态估计与分析、安全风险控制。交通安全风险的估计、分析和控制是保证交通参与者切身安全的重要环节。随着车联网、智能网联车辆、车路协同系统等先进技术的发展，数据来源多样化，为交通安全状态估计、交通安全现状分析、交通安全风险管理与控制带来了更多机遇，实现安全风险实时、精准、有效管控。安全状态估计与分析包括高速公路、匝道、高速公路交织段的事故风险预测、时空因素安全分析、自动驾驶环境下的安全评估。安全风险控制包括对高速公路、匝道、交织段区域进行实施管控，提高高速公路的行驶安全。下图展示了本团队在安全风险管控领域涵盖的场景，并展示了最新研究。
